After many years working with people of all ages, I saw that there was not a clear, defined, time and space when a child would give up their childhood and become a young adult.
I could see this was lacking in our culture and how critical it is to the success of a healthy society. We are a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and contributors that have all joined together to provide this invaluable rites of passage experience.
It is our vision to help young people find their sense of purpose and to know that they truely make a difference in the world. Mountain Wisdom programs set forth in a conscious and purposeful way to guide young men and women into adulthood.
During the graduation ceremony the young men all put their painted, hand print on the Boys’ Rites of Passage banner. This is their signature; their mark. The hand prints will all blend together and all become one. This is a legacy banner that will carry on for many generations to come.                                                                                                             Hawkeye Jay
